My character is named Basil and is part human and part plant. They are around 6ft and are quite thin with a bit of muscle, while being a plant they has a human body apart from their head, however he can morph some parts of his body into plants like thorns.

Grab

Using their hands to morph into thorn branches it makes for a good grab ability and can pull people from a distance for an up close attack. The grab can work similar to Scorpion from Mortal Kombat where he will throw a harpoon and pull his opponent closer, however Basil's grab will not be as brutal or impail opponents. This is a good example of what i imagine it to look like.

His thorn branches can also be used to grab onto edges or high up places like a grappling hook and Basil will sometimes be able to swing short distances like Spider-Man.

Teeter

When hanging over an edge like a cliff, Basil will morph his legs into roots and stick themselves into the ground to gain balance, this is mostly meant to resemble most plants with roots and how strong some roots can be, a good example being trees.

Fall

If Basil is slip of an edge or jump, they will fall like any person would, however if the player does a certain action they will have the option for Basil to morph his hands into big Umbrella Leaves to let him float safely to the ground. A normal unbrella Leaf wouldn't be able to handle a person's weight but since Basil is part plant, he is by far more lighter than a normal person. If Basil is to hold on to the leaf for too long however

it may break which will result in Basil falling.

Basil falling doesn't mean its over though, if you fall above water, Basil can turn their feet into lily pads to bounce on and break the fall, this will only work on water though.
