A square number is the result of a multiplication sum which includes the same number. The Babylonians were the first known source to discover square numbers back as early as 1900BC. To work you a square number you will have to do one number multiplied by the same number, for example 2 x 2 = 4 which is a square number.

A prime number is a number that can only be divided by 1 and itself. Prime numbers were discovered by the Greek Eratosthenes in 200 BC. A good way of finding a prime number is to check if it divides into 1 and itself.

Pi is the ratio of the circumference of any circle to the diameter of that circle, it can be written in the value 3.14. The Egyptians found pi by trying to find the area of a circle that gave the approximate value of 3.1605 for pi. the first calculation was found by Archimedes of Syracuse between 287-212 BC. Pi was made to represent the circumference of a given circle. Pi is used in games to find the circumference and area of an object. in decimal form, pi is represented as 3.14.
