Here is the Gnatt graph i made for the project.

My intial ideas for my film were to have the two clones fight eachother. To tell the difference between the clones i made one of them where a hat. In the final film some shots were changed because i felt like they worked better.

Fade

To make a clip fade into another clip you will have to place a video transition from the 'effects' category. then drag into onto the middle of the two clips and they will fade into eachother. if you want a clip to fade in or out by itself then you just put the effect on the end or start of the clip. i also used some other effects like dip to black and dip to white, these are good for showing that a long time has passed or a flashback sort of thing.

Clipping mask

To use a clipping mask first you will need two clips to start with. select one of them and go to 'effect controls' and select the third tool in opacity. select which area you want to keep on your video.

In this clip, the video on the top has a clipping mask. This makes it so i can play two clips at once.

Clipping mask + Fade

You can use these two tools at the same time, i used it to have my two clones fade in from nowhere.

Things i would improve on next time would be the postioning of the camera, i need to make sure the camera stays the same when using clipping mask shots, luckily its only visible once.
